A sick kid and an Adventure

Published by rocktalk at 10:05 am under Life and Humor Edit This

It has been quite a week here. I am sorry that I have not posted too  much here but with the chaos of life I just didn’t get to it.

The wife and I have spent the last few days dealing with a sick 2 year old. You know it really isn’t anything big, just a touch of the flu or a bug but man is it tough to explain to a 2 year old what is happening when he has to vomit or his belly is upset. We as adults (well most of you anyway) understand that being sick is just part of life but tell this to a 2 year old and see the reaction.

It is a blank stare, a look of confusion. As if to say…… Huh?? Anyway other than that part life churns on. I spent the evening last night chasing the local Home Coming Parade to try and get a few decent photographs that might bring in a few dollars. It turned into a production to be sure and I got a workout in.

Long story short, I was on the wrong block and didn’t realize in until the parade was almost parallel to me. It involved me sprinting my not so young butt 2 blocks to try and catch the foolish thing. I did make it and got a few good shots but as everything I touch of late, there was adventure, folly and bizarre twists of fate involved.

I am hoping that life will settle itself in the near future as I am not getting younger and I frankly am all set with all the unsolicited adventures but hey, at least I have some fun along the way. Anyway you look at it, life on the rock is still full of surprises. Take it as it comes and try not to let it get to you. If you think things go wrong a lot for you, maybe you need to read more of my posts….. Haha.
